Return to the Forbidden Planet is a jukebox musical that blends science fiction, Shakespeare, and 1950s rock 'n' roll. Inspired by the 1956 sci-fi film Forbidden Planet and loosely based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest, it follows the story of Captain Tempest and his spaceship crew as they are caught in a storm and crash-land on the mysterious planet D'Illyria.

Throughout the show, a series of twists involving identity, betrayal, and redemption unfold, all set to popular rock hits like "Great Balls of Fire," "Good Vibrations," and "Teenager in Love." The musical combines these classic songs with a playful reimagining of Shakespeare's language, creating a campy, high-energy sci-fi adventure.
